dealing with deposits and payments
marketing the event so I can sell enough tickets
maths, so much maths
liaising with the guests about the party
creating webpages full of information and resources
shopping for supplies
post-party clean-up including huge amounts of laundry

Though I will have hundreds of people reach out about any particular event, the number of people that actually decide to take the plunge is small. Many people find the idea very sexy, but in practice it takes either a lot of bravery, or a genuine “life’s too short” mentality.

Though this means a lot of admin for me with all the back-and-forth, it is a self-screening system that means only the coolest people end up at my parties. The most excited, the most courageous, and the most hell-yeah-lets-fucken-go people. It’s great!

Due to the amount of organisation required, I no longer host parties at random intervals, hoping that I will be able to generate interest.

Instead, I wait for the party to come to me.

With this Party-By-Request system, I start with a 3v3 format – three providers, three guests. I’m confident that I can always find a couple other players for our time together, and if you’re happy to start small we can build from there, adding more providers as we get more guests.

This format ensures that all of the providers get paid adequately for their time. If you are the one requesting the party, you can also help choose your favourite providers.

I have had a party request that stayed 3v3, and I’ve had another that got so much traction that I decided to host a second party the next day, I never know how popular an event will be until I start marketing it.

The last couple events had many of the guests urging me to host another and promising they would absolutely be there, so I’m confident that with enough lead-time we could build something beautiful together.

Party Pricing: 3 Hours | 3-10 Guests | 3-8 Providers | $2000 per guest
